     He appeared on the 1900 Census at Pålerud, Ringerike, Buskerud, with his parents, as: Kristian Mikkelsen, son, unmarried(ug), Sawmill and forest worker (Sagarb. og skovarb.), 1878.(See household and details).³ He died on 20 November 1902 at Grønsvoldeie, Ringerike, Buskerud, of tuberculosis/consumption (Tæring), at age 24.⁴ He was buried on 29 November 1902 at Ytre Ådal (Hval) sogn, Ringerike, Buskerud.⁵

     Sigrid Torstensdatter was born on 7 May 1879 at Søre Langbråten, Sør-Aurdal, Oppland.^1,2 She was christened on 15 June 1879 at Bagn sogn, Sør-Aurdal prestegjeld, Oppland.²

Langbakker, and their registered destination is an uncle in Cooperstown North Dakota.⁴

Witnesses were Inger Nielsdatter, Maren Kristoffersdatter, Anders Torstensen and Martin Andersen.² He was confirmed on 20 May 1894 at Lunder sogn, Ringerike, Buskerud.³ He married Hilda Marie Nordby between 1900 and 1910 at Oslo, Oslo.¹

     Kristian Nordby was listed on the Norwegian Census of 1900 living at Pilestredet 55, Oslo, with the occupation streetcar conductor (Konduktør Chr. pr. sporveisselskab).⁴

     She appeared on the Canadian census of 1916 at T55 R6 W5, Lac Ste.      Gunda Tuftin was born in 1880 at Lunder sogn, Ringerike, Buskerud.¹ She married Elling Eriksen Bekken on 16 January 1904.¹ She died in 1939.¹

     Andrew Andersen Jorgensen was born in 1880.^2,3 He married Martha Britton, daughter of Christ Britton and Kari Mikkelsdatter Grøvslia, on 25 April 1914 at Pine, Minnesota.¹

     Anne Marie Torstensdatter was born on 27 January 1880 at Utvedteie, Norderhov, Buskerud.¹ She was christened on 18 April 1880 at Norderhov, Norderhov, Buskerud. Witnesses were Anne Ellingsdatter and Iver Olsen Wexhal.¹ Anne Marie Torstensdatter is born the day after her parents wedding. I find this a bit dubious and it even looks like the day was changed from 26 to 27 in the baptism record.¹ She died on 30 April 1888 at Evjua, Lunder sogn, Ringerike, Buskerud, of rheumatic fever (Gigtfeber), at age 8.² She was buried on 5 May 1888 at Lunder sogn, Ringerike, Buskerud.² Funeral rites were held on 6 May 1888.²

     Ole Kristian Thorvaldsen was born on 7 February 1880 at Øhreneie, Haug, Ringerike, Buskerud.¹ He was christened on 29 March 1880 at Haug, Ringerike, Buskerud.¹ He was confirmed on 1 April 1894 at Norderhov, Norderhov, Buskerud.²

     He appeared on the 1900 Census at Bølgenhaugen, Haug, Ringerike, Buskerud, with his mother, as: Ole Kristian Thorvaldsen, unmarried son (S ug), day laborer (Dagarbeider), 1880.(See household and details).³ He married Anne Dortea Danielsdatter, daughter of Daniel Johansen, on 24 January 1915 at Haug, Ringerike, Buskerud.⁴

     Ingeborg Hansine Kristine Holum was born illegitimate on 25 March 1880 at Vår Frue, Trondheim, Sør-Trøndelag.¹ She was christened on 2 May 1880 at Vår Frue, Trondheim, Sør-Trøndelag.¹

     Her married name was Ragna Marie Karlsen.³ Ragna Marie Martinsen married Johan Adolf Karlsen.³ She was born on 24 May 1880 at Høvik Glassverk, Høvik, Bærum, Akershus.^4,1 She was christened on 4 July 1880 at Østre Bærum sogn, Bærum, Akershus. Witnesses were Gundborg Martinsdatter, Carl Halvorsen and Johan Martinius Carlsen.¹

     Gina Gulbrandsen Tuftin was born on 6 August 1880 at Bergsundbråten, Ådal, Buskerud.^1,2 She was christened on 24 October 1880 at Ådal sogn, Ringerike, Buskerud.² She was confirmed on 7 October 1894 at Ytre Ådal (Hval) sogn, Ringerike, Buskerud.³ She married Gabriel Martinsen Karlsrud on 16 March 1900 at Ytre Ådal (Hval) sogn, Ringerike, Buskerud.¹

     Olava Hansdatter Pålerud was born in 1881 at Tutanrud, Ringerike, Buskerud.¹ She married Torvald Johansen Tuftin, son of Johan Knudsen Odda and Ingeborg Andreasdatter Waagaardseie, on 29 December 1912 at Ytre Ådal (Hval) sogn, Ringerike, Buskerud. Eirik Olsen served as witnesses.¹

     Nils Martinsen was born on 3 April 1881 at Lysaker, Nedre Eiker, Buskerud.^1,2 He married Agnes Marie Edvardsdatter, daughter of Edvard Ellingsen Hanserudbråten and Gunhild Kristoffersdatter, on 25 May 1902 at Nedre Eiker, Buskerud.¹ He died on 14 July 1904 at Lysaker, Nedre Eiker, Buskerud, from pneumonia (Lungebetændelse), at age 23.² He was buried on 19 July 1904 at Nedre Eiker, Buskerud.²

     Albert Hollerud was born on 14 June 1881 at Wisconsin.¹ He married Inger Thorine Tuftin, daughter of Gulbrand Tuftin and Gudbjør Andersdatter, in 1913 at Wisconsin.^1,2

     Margareta Lydia Tufting was born on 28 June 1881 at Tåsjö församling, Västernorrlands län.^1,2

     She appeared on the 1890 Census at Hoting, Tåsjö församling, Västernorrlands län, with her parents, as: Margareta Lydia, born 1881 in Tåsjö, daughter.(See household and details).³ Her married name was Lydia Margareta Persson.² She died on 17 February 1967 at Ålderdomshemmet, Bålsta, Håbo, Uppsala län, at age 85.²

     Gjertrud Mikkelsdatter Goplen was born on 24 December 1881 at Goplen, Nordre Land, Oppland.^1,2 She was christened on 22 January 1882 at Torpa sogn, Nordre Land prestegjeld, Oppland.²

     She appeared on the 1910 Census at Goplen store 83/2, Nordre Land, Oppland, temporarily living with her uncle, mother and siblings, as: Gjertrud Mikkelsdatter Goplen, 24.12.1881, Nordre Land, d, unmarried(ug), elementary school teacher (Folkeskole-lærerinde), temporarily present(mt).(See household and details).⁴ She also appeared on the 1910 Census at her place of employment, Jerpestad skole, Nes, Akershus, in the household of the sexton (kirkesanger) and his wife as: Gjertrud Goplen, unknown birth date, born in Nordre Land, lodger, unmarried, teacher (lærerinde), currently absent, presumably present in Torpa parish (antatt oppholdssted Torpen Land).⁵

      She married Peder Aas, son of Johannes Olaus Aas and Regine Olava Aas, on 24 January 1914 at Gjøvik kirke, Gjøvik, Oppland.^6,1 Before her marriage she was living at Røren, Øvre Eiker, Buskerud. Her granddaughter Gjertrud Anna Høysæter, born 21 January 1950, was named after both her grandmothers.⁷ She died on 28 September 1967 at Øvre Eiker, Buskerud, at age 85.¹

      Edward Thuftin grew up as Edvart Torstensen, but used the name Thuftin after emigrating to America, changing the spelling from Tuftin because of mix ups of his and his cousins' mail.^2,3 Edward Thuftin was also known as Ed or Eddie.⁴ He was born on 17 November 1882 at Søre Langbråten, Sør-Aurdal, Oppland.^2,5 He was christened on 25 December 1882 at Begnadalen sogn, Sør-Aurdal prestegjeld, Oppland.⁵ He was confirmed on 7 June 1897 at Begnadalen sogn, Sør-Aurdal prestegjeld, Oppland.⁶

     He appeared on the 1900 Census at Søre Langbråten, Sør-Aurdal, Oppland, with his parents and siblings, as: Edvart Torstensen, son (S), unmarried (ug), lumberjack (Tømmerhugger), born 1882 in Sør-Aurdal.(See household and details).²

Emigration records in Oslo have Torvald Torstensen Langbråten leaving for the US 30 September 1904 and immigration records for the port of Quebec show the same, but later records in both the US and Norway show, without exception, Torvald in Norway and his brother, Edward, in the US.^7,8 Edward, travelling as Torvald, left Oslo September 30th 1904 on the Angelo bound for England. On October 6th he then left Liverpool on the SS Tunisian bound for Quebec where he's registered on a list of alien passengers bound for the US arriving in October.^1,2 He married Julia Severson, daughter of Ole Severson and Inga Severson, in 1918 at Wisconsin.³ Julia's sister Caroline was married to Edward's cousin Andrew.⁴

     He appeared on the US census of 3 February 1920 at Arland, Barron, Wisconsin, with his wife and children, renting home on brother-in-law's farm, as: Edward Thuftin, head of household, 32, immigrated 1905, naturalized citizen 1918, born in Norway, farm laborer.(See households and details).⁵

     He appeared on the US census of 7 April 1930 at Arland, Barron, Wisconsin, with his wife and children, as: Ed Thuftin, head of household, 42 years old, born in Norway, married at 31, farmer.(See household and details).³ He died on 28 May 1949 at Arland, Barron, Wisconsin, at age 66.⁶

     Johan Olsen Haugstuen was born on 4 December 1882 at Ådal prestegjeld, Buskerud.² He married Inger Thorine Hvitmyr, daughter of Edvard Knutsen Hvitmyr and Thea Johnsdatter Hvitmyr.^2,3

     He appeared on the 1910 Census at Kvernvolden (Tangen), Ådal prestegjeld, Buskerud, as absent from his wife and son, as: Johan Olsen, born 04.12.1882 Aadalen, head of household (hf), lumber transport and log driving (tømmerkjører & elvearbeider), absent, temporarily at Bergsund.(See household and details).² He was listed on the Norwegian Census of 1910 a temporary resident of Bergsund, Ådal, Buskerud regular residence is given as Haugstuen, Aadalen, and occupation as forest worker (Skogsarbeider).¹

      Inger Marie Edvardsdatter was also known as Agnes Marie. She was born on 15 December 1882 at Halkinrudeie (Halkinrudbråten), Lunder sogn, Ringerike, Buskerud.^1,2 She was christened on 28 January 1883 at Lunder sogn, Ringerike, Buskerud. Witnesses were Inger Nielsdatter and Martin Røsby.¹ She was confirmed on 13 June 1897 at Lunder sogn, Ringerike, Buskerud.²

     Inger Marie Edvardsdatter was listed on the Norwegian Census of 1900 living at Follum, Ringerike, Buskerud, in the household of shopkeeper and baker (Landhandler og bakermester) Gudbrand Tandberg, as a servant.³ She married Nils Martinsen, son of Martin Jørgensen, on 25 May 1902 at Nedre Eiker, Buskerud.⁴ Her husband, Nils, died from pneumonia (Lungebetændelse) on 14 July 1904 at Lysaker, Nedre Eiker, Buskerud.⁵ She married Knut Olsen Haugen on 6 May 1906 at Nedre Eiker, Buskerud.⁶

     Caroline Severson was born circa 1883 at Wisconsin.¹ She married Andrew Knutson, son of Gulbrand Tuftin and Gudbjør Andersdatter, on 7 August 1901.¹ Caroline's sister Julia later married Andrew's cousin Edward.²

     Knut Hvitmyr was born on 2 January 1883 at Ytre Ådal (Hval) sogn, Ringerike, Buskerud.² He was christened on 25 February 1883 at Ytre Ådal (Hval) sogn, Ringerike, Buskerud. Witnesses were Johan Knudsen.²

     Knut Edvardsen was listed on the Norwegian Census of 1900 living at Hen jernbanehotell, Ringerike, Buskerud, as a coachman (Skydsgut) at the railway hotel.³

     Knut Hvitmyr was listed on the Norwegian Census of 1910 living at Bergsund, Ådal, Buskerud, in the servants quarters (Drengestuen) as a farm hand (tj, Gaardsarbeide).¹ He married Tea Torstensdatter Steinløs, daughter of Torsten Kristensen Steinløs, on 26 July 1914 at Norderhov, Norderhov, Buskerud.⁴ He was a policeman (politikonstabel) at Hønefoss, Ringerike, Buskerud.⁴

      Nels Tuftin was also known as Nils Gulbrandsen.² He was born on 21 January 1883 at Knuterud, Ådal, Buskerud.^3,4,2 He was christened on 22 April 1883 at Ådal sogn, Ringerike, Buskerud.^3,4,2 He was confirmed on 3 October 1897 at Ytre Ådal (Hval) sogn, Ringerike, Buskerud.⁵

     Oline Elise Iversdatter was born on 13 October 1883 at Lunder sogn, Ringerike, Buskerud.¹ She was christened on 3 August 1884 at Norderhov, Norderhov, Buskerud. Witnesses were Johanne Ellingsdatter and Gunhild Ellingsdatter.¹
