     Johanne Ellingsdatter Juvet was born in 1864.¹ She married Martin Røsby, son of Anders Torstensen Tuftin and Inger Nielsdatter, in 1884 at Lunder sogn, Ringerike, Buskerud.¹ She died in 1958.¹

      Gundborg Martinsdatter was also known as Gundborg Martinsen.³ She was born illegitimate on 24 July 1864 at Garløseie, Bærum, Akershus.^2,4 She was christened on 11 September 1864 at Haslum kirke, Østre Bærum sogn, Bærum, Akershus.      Nils Nilsen Høgberg was born in 1868 at Eda sokn, Värmland.¹ He married Berte Kristine Mikkelsdatter, daughter of Mikkel Engebretsen Grønnvoldmoen and Maren Knudsdatter, on 26 September 1893 at Ytre Ådal (Hval) sogn, Ringerike, Buskerud.¹ His wife, Berte Kristine, died of tuberculosis/consumption (Tæring) on 20 May 1900 at Pålerud, Ringerike, Buskerud.²

      Christ Gilbertson was born Kristian Gulbrandsen but after emigrating he anglicized his patronymic and shortened his given name.³ He was born on 25 May 1868 at Kammerudeiet, Gran sogn, Gran, Oppland.² He was christened on 20 September 1868 at Gran sogn, Gran, Oppland.²

     He appeared on the 1875 Census at Bergsundbråten, Ådal, Buskerud, with his parents, as: Kristian Gulbrandsen, Son (Søn), 1868, Gran Hovedsogn.(See household and details).⁴ He was registered as moved from Kammerudeiet, Gran sogn, Gran, Oppland, to Ådal, Buskerud on 21 June 1883.³ He was confirmed on 8 July 1883 at Ytre Ådal (Hval) sogn, Ringerike, Buskerud.⁵ He and Anders Gulbrandsen emigrated on 25 May 1888 from Ytre Ådal (Hval) sogn, Ringerike, Buskerud, on the ship Rollo leaving for New York from Oslo. The probably lied on their age as they are registered as 19 and 21. Anders had two months left before his 17th birthday, and they left on Christian's 20th.^6,7 He married Oleanna Museus on 26 June 1895 at Concordia Congressional Church, Prairie Farm, Barron, Wisconsin.¹

      Edvard Martinsen was also known as Edward Erickson.¹ He was born on 8 July 1870 at Skollerudeie, Bærum, Akershus.² He was christened on 14 August 1870 at Vestre Bærum, Asker, Akershus.²

      Christ Britton grew up as Hans Kristian Torstensen Langbråten.^1,2 He was born on 29 October 1870 at Sørumseie, Sør-Aurdal, Oppland.^1,3,4 He was christened on 5 February 1871 at Hedal sogn, Sør-Aurdal prestegjeld, Oppland.⁴ He married Kari Mikkelsdatter Grøvslia, daughter of Mikkel Knutsen Grøvslia and Marit Olsdatter, in 1893 at Sør-Aurdal prestegjeld, Oppland.⁵ He and Kari Mikkelsdatter Grøvslia emigrated on 23 November 1893 from Oslo on the ship Island. His occupation is recorded as shoemaker (Skomager) and their destination given as Hinckley. For some reason they are not listed together and she's recorded as unmarried.⁶ They are listed as Hans Langbraaten, 23, labourer and Kari Langbraaten, 23, wife, destination Hinkcley, Min., one item of luggage, when they arrive in New York, New York on the steam ship Island 11 December 1893. Hans' aunt Olava probably lived in Hinkcley.⁷

     Berte Kristine Mikkelsdatter was born on 19 February 1871 at Ytre Ådal (Hval) sogn, Ringerike, Buskerud.¹ She was christened on 7 May 1871 at Ytre Ådal (Hval) sogn, Ringerike, Buskerud.¹ She married Nils Nilsen Høgberg on 26 September 1893 at Ytre Ådal (Hval) sogn, Ringerike, Buskerud.² She died on 20 May 1900 at Pålerud, Ringerike, Buskerud, of tuberculosis/consumption (Tæring), at age 29.³ She was buried on 27 May 1900 at Ytre Ådal (Hval) sogn, Ringerike, Buskerud.³ Funeral rites were held on 11 June 1900.³

     Her name after marriage and emigration was Carrie Britton. Kari Mikkelsdatter Grøvslia was born on 13 June 1871 at Grøvslia, Hedal, Sør-Aurdal prestegjeld, Oppland.^2,1 She married Hans Kristian Torstensen Langbråten, son of Torsten Knutsen Storbråten and Gunhild Maria Hansdatter, in 1893 at Sør-Aurdal prestegjeld, Oppland.¹ She and Hans Kristian Torstensen Langbråten emigrated on 23 November 1893 from Oslo on the ship Island. His occupation is recorded as shoemaker (Skomager) and their destination given as Hinckley. For some reason they are not listed together and she's recorded as unmarried.³ They are listed as Hans Langbraaten, 23, labourer and Kari Langbraaten, 23, wife, destination Hinkcley, Min., one item of luggage, when they arrive in New York, New York on the steam ship Island 11 December 1893. Hans' aunt Olava probably lived in Hinkcley.⁴

     She appeared on the US census of 23 July 1895 at 60th avenue, 4th street, 2nd floor, Duluth, St. Louis, Minnesota, with her husband and daughter, as: Carrie Britton, age 23, born in Norway.(See household and details).⁵

     She appeared on the US census of 2 June 1900 at 63rd Avenue, Duluth, St. Louis, Minnesota, with her husband and children, as: Carrie Britton, Wife, born May 1870 in Norway, married 6 years, 3 children all living, immigrated 1894, 6 years in the US.(See household and details).⁶

     She appeared on the US census of 1 June 1905 at 63rd Avenue, Duluth, St. Louis, Minnesota, with her husband and children, as: Carrie Britton, age 34, born in Norway, house wife.(See household and details).⁷

     She appeared on the US census of April 1910 at Sandstone, Pine, Minnesota, with her husband and children, as: Carrie Britton, wife, 38, born in Norway, immigrated 1893.(See household and details).⁸ Her husband, Christ, died on 18 October 1913 at Sandstone, Pine, Minnesota.⁹

     She appeared on the US census of January 1920 at Pine, Minnesota, with four sons, as: Carrie Britton, widowed, head of household, 47, born in Norway.(See household and details).¹⁰

     She appeared on the US census of April 1930 at Sandstone, Pine, Minnesota, with two sons, as: Carrie Bretten, widowed, head of household, 56, born in Norway, immigration 1892.(See household and details).¹¹ She died on 18 July 1935 at Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota, at age 64.¹²

      Andrew Knutson grew up as Anders Gulbrandsen but used Andrew after emigration, and took the surname Knutson, probably influenced by his uncle, Paul Knutson, who was already established in America.² He was born on 27 July 1871 at Strømsoddbygda, Norderhov, Buskerud.^3,4 He was christened on 8 October 1871 at Lunder sogn, Ringerike, Buskerud.⁴

     He appeared on the 1875 Census at Bergsundbråten, Ådal, Buskerud, with his parents, as: Anders Gulbrandsen, Son (Søn), 1872, Gran Hovedsogn.(See household and details).⁵ And also at Odda, Ådal, Buskerud, with his grandparents, as: Anders Gulbrandsen, Knud's grandson (Knuds Sønnesøn), 1871, Gran Hovedsogn.(See household and details).⁶ He was confirmed on 22 May 1887 at Ytre Ådal (Hval) sogn, Ringerike, Buskerud, on the second try, with an average grade (Næsten godt. 2år).⁷ He and Christian Gulbrandsen emigrated on 25 May 1888 from Ytre Ådal (Hval) sogn, Ringerike, Buskerud, on the ship Rollo leaving for New York from Oslo. The probably lied on their age as they are registered as 19 and 21. Anders had two months left before his 17th birthday, and they left on Christian's 20th.^8,9 It is possible he is the Andrew Knutson recorded in the US census 15 June 1900 at Shell lake, Washburn, Wisconsin as Andrew Knudson, boarder, born august 1870 in Norway, 29 years old, immigrated 1888, 12 years in the US, naturalization papers filed, occupation laborer lumber camp, unemployed 1 month during previous year, can read, write and speak English.¹⁰ He married Caroline Severson, daughter of Ole Severson and Inga Severson, on 7 August 1901.¹ Caroline's sister Julia later married Andrew's cousin Edward.¹¹

     He appeared on the US census of 1 June 1905 at Arland, Barron, Wisconsin, with his wife, as: Andrew Gudbrandson, head, 33, born in Norway, Farmer, mortgaged farm.(See household and details).¹²

     He appeared on the US census of 23 April 1910 at Arland, Barron, Wisconsin, with his wife and children, next door to his father, as: Andrew Knutson, head of household, 38, married eight years, born in Norway, immigrated 1888, naturalization papers filed, speaks English, mortgaged farm.(See household and details).¹³ He was naturalized in 1911.¹⁴

     He appeared on the US census of 30 January 1920 at Prairie Farm, Barron, Wisconsin, with his wife and children, as: Andrew Knutson, head of household, 48, immigrated 1888, naturalized 1911, born in Norway, occupation farming, mortgaged farm.(See household and details).¹⁴

     He appeared on the US census of 3 April 1930 at Arland, Barron, Wisconsin, with his wife and youngest daughter, as: Andrew Knutson, Head of household, rents home for $400 a month, 58, married at 30, born in Norway, immigration 1888, naturalized citizen, occupation, shoe repair, has shoe shop.(See household and details).¹⁵ He died in 1961 at Arland, Barron, Wisconsin.¹
